cat died of antifreeze poisoning says a vet boss demanded money up-front before treating her other dying feline.Gillian Love’s cats Coal and Ollie were rushed to Vets4Pets in Ayr last week after the pair displayed symptoms of antifreeze poisoning just hours apart.Coal, a black burmmila cat, sadly had to be put to sleep as the poor animal began to have seizures as his kidneys began to fail.But before vets continued treating Ollie, Gillian, of Forehill, claims franchise owner Kirstin Craig demanded £220 up-front for Coal’s cremation costs.Speaking to our sister paper, the Ayrshire Post, Gillian, 47, said: “I never in my life thought that a VET would turn a dying animal away.“We gave them all the money we had- £400- and were told we could set.
