Grandad, 101, leaves hospital after beating coronavirus

A 101-year-old grandad has left hospital after beating coronavirus. Keith Watson, from Worcestershire, was admitted to hospital for surgery on his leg but later tested positive for Covid-19 after developing a high temperature.

He spent two weeks in the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch being treated for the virus but was discharged on Wednesday. The Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust posted a photo of the grandad, who is now back in his care home, and the nurses that looked after him and it has been shared thousands of times on Facebook.
