Good Morning Britain’s Ranvir Singh QUITS role as bosses fight to keep her after Strictly fame

GOOD Morning Britain bosses are desperate to hold on to Ranvir Singh after she secretly quit her role as political editor. Insiders said Ranvir, 44, was sick of the cold mornings standing on the doorstep of Number 10 and handed in her notice at the end of last year under the premise she would be move into a more substantial role on the flagship ITV show.

It comes as Ranvir’s profile has continued to soar, with her stint on Strictly Come Dancing in 2020 helping to make her a household name.

A source said: “Ranvir is ready for a new challenge at Good Morning Britain and she wants a bigger role within the team. “She quietly stepped down as the political editor of the show in anticipation of having a more substantial part to play. “Ranvir covers for Susanna Reid when she is away and this week has stepped into her shoes during half term.
