An adventurous bride scaled a Scots mountain in her wedding dress to get married in her 'favourite place in the world'.Juliette Berthet and Guillaume Meillac, who are from Blaye les Mines in France, travelled to Scotland to tie the knot in spectacular fashion.

The pair knew they had to wed in their favourite country and took the plunge earlier this month on May 1. Before scaling the mountain, they had a touching ceremony in a circle of trees at Little Fawn Waterfall in Queen Elizabeth Forest Park near Aberfoyle, in the Trossachs.

And after exchanging vows, the couple literally went the extra mile for their dream wedding and hiked up nearby Ben A'an to make things official.

While most brides wouldn't want to mark their gown, Juliette wasn't put off scaling the 1,512ft summit in her floor-length white wedding dress.Despite the unpredictable weather, the couple was rewarded with epic views of nearby lochs and peaks when they reached the top.Juliette told the Daily Record: "The day went beyond our expectations."We had been told multiple times that there would be too much of a crowd, that the weather could ruin everything, make it dangerous, people were unsure of me doing it in a wedding dress and so on."But we didn’t want it any other way so we went ahead and everything was perfect." The couple, who are both aged 33, had been planning the big day since 2019, but were forced to wait due to Covid delays.
