One of Hamilton 's most popular fun days is set to return at the end of the month. The Hillhouse Community Council say this year's event, rebranded Hillhouse Festival, will be bigger and better than ever with lots of exciting activities featuring on the day.After last year's success of the event's first ever live concert taking place in the evening, the entertainment stage is back and some high profile "special guest stars" are expected to perform.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Hillhouse Community Council chairman Tom Skilling told Lanarkshire Live : "This year the event will start an hour earlier than usual which will be for a quiet hour. "This is for those with neurodivergence or who may prefer a quieter experience."There'll be lots of fairground rides, a funhouse, teacups, go-karts, lots of different bouncy castles, slides, free face-painting, balloons and lots of stalls."We'll have people from the Greenhouse Trust and autism charities there on the day, so there'll be a bit of everything."Between 5pm and 9pm will be the free concert with our special guest stars."A number of fairground rides will be on display as well as a boogie bus, rodeo bull, and lots more.The
