'Freaks & Geeks' Showrunners Reveal The Series Almost Got Picked Up By MTV

Freaks and Geeks is one of the many iconic shows that only ran for one season, which is a travesty to many fans.

Starring Linda Cardellini, James Franco, John Francis Daley, Jason Segal and Seth Rogen, among others, the show ran on NBC for just 18 episodes from 1999-2000, before being cancelled.

Now, showrunners Paul Feig and Judd Apatow have revealed that MTV actually offered to pick the show up for a second season. Click inside to read more… “When the show was cancelled, there was an offer from MTV to continue making the show at a much lower budget,” Judd shared in a recent interview with Collider. “And we all decided we didn’t want to do a weaker version of the show.” In another interview with Paul, he confirmed the offer from MTV.
