Ayrshire police have launched an appeal for information following a robbery – with more than £10,000 in cash stolen.Cash and jewellery were taken following a housebreaking at a property in Beith at the weekend and officers have asked for any witnesses to come forward.The incident happened between 11pm and 11.30pm on Saturday, August 21 in the North Ayrshire town's McMillan Crescent.A five-figure sum of cash and jewellery, including gold necklaces, rings and watches, were taken.Detective Constable Ross Keenan said: “Housebreaking can leave householders feeling very distressed and our investigation to track down those responsible is ongoing.The Ayrshire Live app is available to download now.Get all the local news in your area – plus features,.
