Family-run Lanarkshire restaurant hopes to curry favour with judges in top awards

An award-winning Lanarkshire restaurant is in the running for yet more top accolades, as it prepares to open its second eatery.

Family-owned and run Taal Indian in Strathaven already received a gong at the end of last year at the Food Awards Scotland 2021, where it was named as the Best Indian Establishment in Scotland.

And the successes just keep coming with not one but three nominations in this year's Scottish Curry Awards, which are being held next month – southwest dining experience of the year, curry champions of the year, and community champions of the year.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
