Family of four ‘dumped’ in ‘filthy’ hotel after expensive rent left them homeless

A family who have spent nearly three weeks living in a ‘filthy’ hotel room claim they have been ‘dumped and forgotten about’, in a bid to find permanent housing.

Joanna Wilson and Cory Mangen, along with their two sons have been forced to live in the cramped conditions because they were evicted from their home of 11 years.

Their six month notice came after the landlord was forced to sell up due to the pandemic and now are facing homelessness. The couple say they have effectively been ‘priced out’ of private renting and the demand for social housing has left them at breaking point.
