The boss of Ireland's Eurosong competition has revealed why the choice for the public to choose their representative at Eurovision 2022 has been brought back.
Last year, Irish Eurovision entrant Lesley Roy failed to place in the Grand Final with her stirring anthem Maps. Now, a batch of young Irish musical talent is vying to step on to the stage in Turin, Italy.
Airing February 4 on The Late Late Show, Eurosong will see six songs all compete to win the chance to represent Ireland in Eurovision 2022.
Michael Kealy told the Irish Sun and RTE Radio 1 that the return of the show was "a bit like football coming home." "It's a while since we've done Eurosong.
