Emmerdale’s Lydia star Karen Blick’s off screen life from husband to ‘Dingle-style’ wedding

During her time on the show, the character has faced everything from a string of short-lived romances with Paddy Kirk and Rishi Sharma, the heartbreaking loss of her stillborn son, and more recently the sting of the cost of living crisis - but along the way she also fell for and married the love of her life, Sam Dingle.
In upcoming scenes, Lydia’s marriage will be tested to the limit, after she is the victim of a horrific rape by her old school friend Craig, after the pair recently ran into each other at a job fair.
The harrowing storyline is sure to tug at viewers heart strings, and was described by actress Karen Blick as one of the most significant of her career, but thankfully, away from the soap, Karen has a far less drama filled life off screen.
