The cyclist, from Eccles in Salford, claimed the 17th gold medal of her phenomenal career at Tokyo 2020 overnight, defending the women's C4-5 road race title.
The 43-year-old trailed veteran German Kerstin Brachtendorf by 75 seconds at one stage of the race, but snatched glory in a stunning comeback with a finishing time of 2:21:51.
