The actress, who was thought to be secretly engaged to her former co-star Harry Reid, explained to her fans on Instagram that her beloved pet pooch had been battling heart failure for years, and she'd tried everything.
Sadly, despite being there for her canine buddy throughout all the highs and lows and varying medical treatment, it was sadly the end of the road for Coco Chanel.
Along with an array of heart-wrenching snaps of her and her best pal, Shona also told fans that Coco, who also has a sister pup called Cece, had been there for her through some of the "worst" and most difficult experiences in her life.
