Shirley was desperate to put a stop to the wedding and had been investigating Janine and caught her meeting up with a mystery man.
She called a halt to the vows to expose Janine’s ‘cheating’ but the truth was worse. Janine was picking up keys for a new pub for the couple after their wedding, revealing their plans to leave Walford behind.
Back at the pub, Mick kicked Shirley out and told her to get out and spend Christmas with Linda until Mick and Janine had left for their new life.
