Dr Alex George has hit back at a troll who claimed he wasn’t “fit” to be a doctor as he takes medication to help manage his mental health. The doctor and former Love Island contestant has been open about taking medication for anxiety and last year started the hashtag #PostYourPill, which encourages people to share photos of the medication they take to fight mental health stigma.
However, it seems not all feedback to Alex’s campaign has been positive.Taking to Instagram, the doctor - who first found fame on Love Island in 2018 - has shared a photo of himself with his medication and hit back at a commenter who suggested that receiving treatment for his mental health leaves him unfit to do his job.
In the caption, Alex wrote: “POST YOUR PILL Yesterday I received a message saying that because I was a doctor who needs support and treatment for their mental health, that I am not fit to do my job.
