EAMONN Holmes has hit back at an ITV insider's claims he became unpopular with This Morning viewers before he was axed. His reps said they refuse to believe "research" had shown his popularity had waned before he was dropped by ITV after 15 years hosting This Morning with wife Ruth Langsford.
The claims were made by an "ITV insider" last night, but today Eamonn hit back through a representative, who fumed: "It is simply not true that research showed that viewers no longer wanted to watch Eamonn Holmes. "Research has actually showed Eamonn rated better than others who replaced him on This Morning." Eamonn’s agent Jonathan Shalit said: "I don’t believe a ‘source’ said anything that was official as ITV have always behaved with great respect to InterTalent. "The facts are simple.
Eamonn is one of the most loved broadcasters in UK. His GB NEWS show now often beats his Sky News rival and the BBChave recommissioned his show Farm to Feast." It comes after the veteran presenter blasted station bosses in a recent interview with the Daily Mail, accusing them of being "sly" and hypocritical over his departure. @font-face{font-family:'The Sun';src:url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Regular.woff2') format('woff2'),url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Regular.woff') format('woff'),url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Regular.ttf') format('truetype'),url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Regular.svg#') format('svg');font-style:normal;font-weight:400;font-display:swap;}@font-face{font-family:'The Sun';src:url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Medium.woff2') format('woff2'),url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Medium.woff') format('woff'),url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Medium.ttf') format('truetype'),url('/assets/fonts/the-sun/TheSun-Medium.svg#').
