People planning to visit a popular touring attraction in Wigan have been left disappointed after organisers were forced to close the art installation early.

The "Floating Earth", created by artist Luke Jerram, was due to be on display at Pennington Flash, Leigh, from Friday November 19 to Sunday November 28.

However, organisers have been forced to close the popular exhibit "with immediate effect" due to safety concerns, after several yellow weather warnings were put into place for the coming days.
