Cycling showcase highlights services available to everyone in the Newmains area

Miserable damp and cold weather didn’t deter residents in a North Lanarkshire village from getting on their bikes for a fun Easter event.The Newmains on Wheels event was promoting the cycling services available to residents in the area, which includes a rental service following a successful pilot scheme.Hosted by Connor Mooney of Cairney Cycles and the Newmains Community Trust, with partners Getting Better Together Shotts, Trackside Training Centre, Scottish BMX School and the Clydesdale Colts, it provided people of all ages the opportunity to get back in the saddle and get active.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
