Cycling Dumfries members are ready to “Pedal on COP”.They have organised a two-day ride from Dumfries to Glasgow which will cover 95 miles via the Mennock Pass on the A76 leaving on Thursday, November 4.They will arrive in the city to join Pedal On Parliament and other groups for the Global Day of Action for Climate Justice on Saturday, November 6, as the world leaders meet.Sally Hinchliffe of Cycling Dumfries said: “We believe bikes are part of the solution to climate change and we are taking that message to the powers that be with our Pedal on Cop challenge and we’ve been busy making banners to take along.
