Cricket Scotland 's board has resigned a day before a report into institutional racism was due to be published. Directors handed in their resignation with immediate effect this morning, the BBC reports.
In a letter sent to the interim chief executive, board members said they had not seen the contents of the review. It is expected to reveal findings of institutional racism in the Scottish game.
It comes after allegations were made of racism and discrimination in the field, with some put forward by all-time leading wicket-taker Majid Hag.The batsman and an off spin bowler represented on Scotland on more than 200 occasions but failed to return to the game after being sent home from the 2015 World Cup pitch.
He hinted that he felt victimised on grounds of race.Hag's former team-mate, Qasim Sheikh, also stepped forward to claim he had suffered racist abuse during his time in the team.
