Concerns have been raised about a spike in coronavirus cases in Scotland following the COP26 climate conference in Glasgow next month.

Thousands are set to descend on the city for the United Nations summit, and Health Secretary Humza Yousaf has admitted it creates a "risk".

Concerns exist that high covid levels could put the NHS under unprecedented strain in the coming months. Meanwhile, the Scottish Government announced that in the last 24 hours in Scotland a further 2,528 people returned a positive test.There were 21 deaths recorded, but the figures released on Sunday are for the previous 48 hours, after a "data issue" meant death numbers could not be reported on Saturday.
