Coronavirus infection rate in Trafford decreasing as 58 cases confirmed in week

The infection rate in Trafford is decreasing, as a total of 58 new coronavirus cases were confirmed within a week.Between August 28 and September 3, less than 60 new cases were confirmed across the borough and Hale Barns accounted for the highest number with eight, according to Public Health England figures.No areas in the borough saw more than 10 new cases after a number of weeks of Hale Barns and other areas like Longford and Clifford seeing double-figure new cases.The areas with the next highest number of new cases were Hale and West Timperley, each with six.Following a concerning previous week that saw national government U-turn on its decision to release Trafford from Greater Manchester’s local lockdown, the borough is now the only one.
