Corrie, is calling on bosses to 'bring back the laughs'. The actor, who has played Sean for 17 years, believes the show now has too many issue-led plots.
He told the Daily Star Sunday : “We used to do stories when I first joined the show in 2003 that were belly-laugh brilliant. "They weren’t based on any agenda or issue.“I don’t want to do an agenda storyline where we think about the rights and wrongs of something.”In 2018 his character ended up homeless and sleeping rough after he was asked to move out of Fiz Stape and partner Tyrone Dobbs' house and he was beaten up in a park toilet.Sean has recently been reunited with his son Dylan and is adjusting to being a dad after bringing him back to Weatherfield from his mum Violet Wilson's home.
