Coronation Street's Matt Milburn has joked that working with some of the soap's stars is 'hard work'. The actor recently returned to the ITV soap as retired Weatherfield County footballer Tommy Orpington.
His comeback started on Christmas Day which featured a brief meeting with Tracy Barlow as he sought a last-minute gift for his mum.
He ended up giving the florist his card which revealed he's now a painter and decorator. With husband Steve McDonald not doing much work at the house, Tracy decided to call in Tommy for some redecorating and it wasn't long before sparks flew between the pair after she encouraged Tommy superfan Steve to go to France to visit his daughter, Emma. Tommy's return marked Matt's latest stint on the cobbles. The actor first appeared in the role of the Weatherfield County footballer, who befriended Steve and Tim after hiring Michelle Connor as a wedding planner, in 2016.
