Scots police have warned lockdown louts that they will be ‘dealt with robustly’ as officers step up patrols on beauty spots after some restrictions were lifted.

People are now allowed to sunbathe at parks, beaches and various other beauty spots after the Scottish Government moved to phase one of its plan to reopen Scotland amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Additionally, Scots can meet one other household outside while picnics and barbecues have also been given the green light. Police on the south Ayrshire coast have beefed up the number of officers as they anticipate a busy first weekend of restrictions being lifted.
