Community raises £15k to fund free meal service

Around £15,000 has been gathered from people in the Aberfeldy community to fund a free meal delivery service for the town’s elderly during the coronavirus pandemic.#Feldy-Roo is an initiative started nearly three weeks ago, based at The Fountain Bar and Restaurant in Aberfeldy.A combination of commercial kitchens, volunteer packers and drivers are helping vulnerable over 70s.They opened a gofundme.com account with a £2000 target - but public support has swept past this, giving £15,733 so far with nearly 200 separate donors chipping in.Ex Breadalbane pupil Kevin Ross, who works in the USA, donated £1000.
