Coatbridge Thistle’s young players have become screen stars after teaming up for an ingenious video which sees them join together from isolation.More than 50 children and coaches from the club’s five age-group squads responded to a request from chairman Rob Maclaren to film short clips of themselves playing football with toilet rolls.He cleverly edited them together into a short film – to the soundtrack of 1998 World Cup theme Carnaval de Paris – to show the toilet roll being skilfully passed from one player to another and travelling across Coatbridge to reach him.
