Celtic have hit out at "unacceptable" scenes during their clash with Rangers that saw John Kennedy allegedly struck with objects from the stands at Ibrox.

It was a dramatic clash between the Scottish Premiership title challengers as Rangers rescued a 3-3 draw against their rivals after Rabbi Matondo's stunning injury-time strike rounded off the scoring in an Old Firm classic.

However, scenes turned sour after Cyriel Dessers goal was ruled out that would have put the game level at 2-2. Referee John Beaton was sent to the monitor to review a tackle in the build-up by Tomoki Iwata - with the man in the middle eventually ruling out the goal from the Rangers striker.

Following the review, police could be seen on the Sky Sports cameras in conversation with the Celtic assistant manager. On commentary, Ian Crocker told viewers: "Sadly, there are objects being thrown into the Celtic dugout."Reports suggest that the objects that were thrown were coins.
