A celebrated and loved Rutherglen GP has announced his retirement after 30 years at the practice.Dr Declan Campbell at the Stonelaw Practice in Rutherglen Primary Care Centre has retired today having joined in 1994.Starting in Shettleston before moving a few months later, Dr Campbell has reminisced about his time in Rutherglen.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

I am of course sad to be leaving but immensely proud and privileged to have been a part of so many people's lives in Rutherglen and Cambuslang.
