Car engulfed by flames after 'explosion' beneath railway line in Manchester city centre

A crew from Salford station rushed to Kelso Place, in Castlefield, at around 8.24pm this evening (March 25). Footage filmed by a neighbour living in a flat close to the scene shows firefighters working to quell the flames and bring the fire under control.

At one point a train can be seen passing on the bridge above. One resident told the M.E.N they had heard an ‘explosion’ just before the fire broke out.
