Perthshire medical unit after an elderly woman with a head injury was turned away. Walk-in services at the Blairgowrie Cottage Hospital Minor Injury and Illness Unit (MIIU) have been suspended since March to protect patients and staff against COVID.

And earlier this month concerned residents received assurances regarding its future after a notice was put up at the Perth Road facility’s window, stating the MIIU was ‘closed’. New wearable range helps blind people in Perth and Kinross tackle public social distancing issues But recent incidents have emerged of people attempting to use the MIIU following accidents in the town, only to be told they would have to travel to Perth Royal Infirmary in order to be treated.
