No further details have been released, but Go North West says the agreement is due to be put to a vote of Unite members. Unite, however, said a deal was 'still to be finalised' and no ballot has been arranged.
The breakthrough, announced after further negotiations between the company and the union, is the clearest indication yet the ongoing strike action could soon be over.
