Eurovision legend Niamh Kavanagh has recounted the moment that she heard the news that her husband has suffered a life-changing stroke and how her ‘magnificent’ sons Tom and Jack stepped up to the plate to help save his life.
The Irish singer who won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993 left the world of showbiz after her husband Paul Megahey, a fellow musician, suffered a devastating stroke in 2018 which left him unable to speak.
In an interview on RTÉ Radio One’s Sunday with Miriam, Niamh revealed the heartbreak she felt when she heard the news as she was unable to rush to be by her husband’s side because she was performing at the time.
