The hearing at South Manchester Coroner’s Court on Monday, September 20 heard that Craig Davies, 34, had been speeding along the wrong side of Manchester Road in Hyde shortly before 1am on Monday August 12, 2019, when he crashed head-first into an oncoming car.
Mr Davies was tragically pronounced dead at the scene after the force of the impact saw his car, a red Volkswagen Golf, smash into a nearby wall before bursting into flames. READ MORE: Man appears in court charged with racially
