Dick. As Genius contributors NSRE and AudreyXuan break down in an annotation, The Weeknd uses the late writer’s name to brag about his sexual prowess: A prolific writer, Dick wrote roughly 121 short stories and 44 published novels before passing away from complications after a stroke in March 1982.
His work is known for questioning the nature of reality, perception, human nature, and identity, while also containing recurring elements like drug abuse, altered states of consciousness, large corporations, authoritarian governments, and alternate realities.
