Brazen thieves make off with 1,000 litres of diesel after raid on Scots tank

dailyrecord.co.ukdiesel during a raid in the north east of Scotland. Police say that the significant quantity of fuel was stolen within a Forestry Commission area near Buckie in Moray last weekend.
It is believed that the incident took place sometime between midday on last Saturday and 6.30am on Monday, May 24.The red diesel was stolen after the thieves broke into a tank in the Aultmore area.Officers have now launched a probe into the incident and have warned locals to ‘be wary’ of anyone selling red diesel in the area following the incident.
Constable Christopher Mackinnon, from Buckie Police Station, said: “Enquiries into this theft are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone with information to please come forward.
