The 16-year-old was seriously hurt and suffered cuts to his face, neck, and body during the attack at Sale Metrolink stop. He is in hospital in a stable condition, with police describing his injuries as 'life-changing'.

The attack happened at about 9pm yesterday. GMP have arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of section 18 assault. Detectives say the victim suffered 'really nasty wounds'.
