The incident happened close to the gates of North Huddersfield Trust School, as many parents and residents told YorkshireLive they witnessed the attack, saying he had been 'pinned down and stabbed repeatedly.' Police immediately raced to the scene along with ambulances and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, with roads nearby all blocked off.

Emergency services attended and a 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital in a critical condition. A police cordon has been put in place as enquiries are underway to establish the circumstances." Woodhouse Hill was closed off in both directions with multiple cordons in place as police carry out enquiries at the scene.
