Bolton off licence which sold vodka, wine and cider to 13-year-old girls has licence revoked

Royle News, known as Breighmet Off Licence, also sold illegal tobacco to a test purchaser last year. A hearing held by Bolton Council’s licensing committee heard how tobacco manufacturer Gallaher Ltd conducted a test purchase at the store in August 2020.

Their officer bought a packet of Richmond cigarettes for £6 which were produced from under the counter. A report to the panel stated they were not for legal sale in the UK, had incorrect branding and were possibly counterfeit.
