Billy Connolly releases ‘extraordinary’ art collection leaving wife beaming with pride

art collection.Pamela Stephenson said six drawings completed by the comedian in recent months were “extraordinary”.She compared the 77-year-old, who is suffering from Parkinson’s disease, to French artist Henri Matisse, who turned to creating cut paper collages when ill health left him unable to paint in his later years.The latest instalment of Connolly’s Born on a Rainy Day series has been unveiled by gallery bosses at Castle Fine Art in London.

The collection features six limited-edition prints signed by the Big Yin and showcases his trademark sense of humour.The drawings include Malkie’s Day Off, which shows a multi-coloured obese man holding a kite, and another features sausages dangling from a tree.
