Legendary Scottish comedian Billy Connolly has revealed that he will no longer be doing stand-up comedy due to the escalation of his Parkinson’s disease.
Despite saying he wouldn’t rule out performing once again last year, the 77-year-old comedian made the comments while talking to Sky News, saying: ‘I’m finished with stand-up – it was lovely and it was lovely being good at it.
It was the first thing I was ever good at.’ Billy also explained that while he is invited to events with other Parkinson’s sufferers, he turns them down a lot because he doesn’t want his disease to ‘define’ him.
