Sir Billy Connolly has seen his earnings drop since retiring from stand-up, new figures have revealed. The Scottish comedy legend had boosted his fortune from his stage swansong thanks to a string of sell-out shows in 2016 and 2017.
But latest accounts for Rambling Man, a company which handles the Big Yin’s income, show it made a profit of £170,000 for 2018.
That is a dip from profits of £580,000 in 2017 and £2.74million in 2016.Connolly, 77, who is suffering from Parkinson’s disease, announced his retirement from stand-up in 2018.
