1-5.“Romería” (the Spanish name for a popular pilgrimage) will be produced by Stefan Schmitz-founded and Madrid-based production-distribution outfit Avalon, Spanish distributor for Wong Kar-Wai’s “In the Mood for Love,” and producers of Álvaro Gago’s “Matria,” the feature follow-up to his eponymous 2018 Sundance Grand Jury Prize winning short, as well as “Summer 1993.” Barcelona’s Ringo Media is co-producing.
