Benedict Cumberbatch’s sweary response after being told he ‘looks like Ali G’

BENEDICT Cumberbatch had a sweary response for the people who compared him to Ali G in a recent fashion magazine photoshoot.

The Power of the Dog star, 45, was likened to Sacha Baron Cohen's iconic wannabe rude boy after gracing W Magazine. For the shoot, photographed by Tim Walker, Benedict was styled in a yellow bucket hat, tinted aviators and a sunshine yellow polo shirt.

He remained stony-faced as he rested his elbow on a table and held a stem of daisies between his fingers. It didn't take long for the images to go viral, with many drawing comparisons between the two very different British national treasures.

But in an interview with the Radio Times, Benedict admitted he wasn't impressed by it, saying: "F*** the piss takers." "I’d love to know what their version of a good photograph would be.
