Clive Myrie has hit back after viewers questioned why he had been sent to Ukraine. While usually a host for Mastermind, the BBC game show host delivered detailed reports from Kyiv shortly following the start of Putin's brutal invasion of Ukraine.
Some viewers had questioned why Clive Myrie was sent to Ukraine to cover the war, seemingly under the impression that his main job was being a game host.
Now, that he has returned from the Ukrainian capital after stating it was no longer safe for him, he has now spoken out about the complaints regarding his coverage.
Speaking on BBC Radio 4's Today Programme, he defended his position and pointed out how he has been a journalist for more than 30 years before taking on the role of Mastermind host, Wales Online reports.
