Badminton academy to take over East Kilbride community centre

South Lanarkshire councillors have given the go-ahead to lease Stewartfield Community Centre to a badminton academy.Badminton Academy Social Enterprise (BASE) which is run by badminton medallist Kirsty Gilmour will lease the East Kilbride facility for the next five years.This comes as councillors approved the plans for the £2000 per year lease at the Housing and Technical Resources committee this week (August 30).The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
