The Bachelorette season 16 winner recalled convincing a surgeon to remove his gallbladder to get painkillers during a chat with ABC News’ Elizabeth Vargas.“It was in between the time I had gotten married and going to treatment for the first time.

I’d had a brain tumor a couple years earlier. That’s when I started really experimenting with the painkillers.
