Animal welfare charity is running out of kitten food

The Scottish SPCA is today appealing to animal lovers in Ayrshire to donate much needed kitten food to its Ayrshire and South West Scotland Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.Scotland’s animal welfare charity has seen an influx of pregnant cats at the centre in Mainholm Road, Ayr.Centre manager Marion Hainey said, “Poppy (pictured), who was pregnant when she arrived at the centre as a stray, gave birth on Saturday, April 25 to five kittens.“We also have another three cats who we suspect are pregnant and two younger cats that are still on kitten food.“We are appealing for kitten food for the new and upcoming arrivals as we are down to our last box.“It can be a struggle to keep up with so many hungry mouths to feed.“Due to the ongoing
