Ricky Gervais
Ricky Dene Gervais (born 25 June 1961) is an English stand-up comedian, actor, writer, film producer, director and musician. He is perhaps best known for creating, writing and acting in the British television series The Office (2001–2003). He has won seven BAFTA Awards, five British Comedy Awards, two Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards and the Rose d'Or twice (2006 and 2019), as well as a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination. In 2007, he was placed at No. 11 on Channel 4's 100 Greatest Stand-Ups and at No. 3 on the updated 2010 list. In 2010, he was named on the Time 100 list of the world's most influential people.

After Life star reveals Ricky Gervais is already writing season 3 for Netflix in lockdown

AFTER Life star Ashley Jensen has confirmed Ricky Gervais is penning a third series. The award-winning actor has been given the green light from Netflix and is already writing the script, confirmed co-star Ashley.

The After Life and Extras star told The One Show hosts Alex Jones and Rylan Clark-Neal about the upcoming season. The 50-year-old said: "I know a third series is already on its way.

And I think Ricky has tapped a few words into his computer, or quill, or whatever he uses." It's thought the actor and writer has been offered a massive £5million deal from Netflix for the third series of After Life.

The seven-figure package includes the funnyman writing a number of comedy specials alongside the next instalment of his cult show.
