Aaliyah‘s estate is providing an update. The late entertainer’s estate issued a statement on Tuesday (August 25) regarding the status of her music – much of which is still unavailable on streaming platforms. “To our loyal fans: we are excited to announce that communication has commenced between the estate and various record labels about the status of Aaliyah‘s music catalogue, as well as its availability on streaming platforms in the near future.

Thank you for your continued love and support. More updates to come!” they said. Aaliyah was honored on what would have been her 41st birthday earlier this year on social media by many stars.

DJ and producer who made music in the early 1990s using the alias Reel 2 Real. In 1993, he teamed up with Trinidadian singer the Mad Stuntman for the dance floor sensation “I Like to Move It.” The track appeared in the animated film “Madagascar.” He started his own record label called Subliminal Records, releasing a full-length album and many singles. Morillo was arrested in July for battery of a woman from an incident in Miami Beach in December.
